It may come as no surprise to most of you that Halloween for me is something I hold near and dear to my heart 365 days a year. Once August hits though I go into Halloween overdrive, searching for the best decor and outfits that will last me through the whole year. When it comes to outfits one of my favorite sites for spooky fashion is Unique Vintage. Not only do they carry a great plus size selection but if you end up being a frequent shopper their rewards program can’t be beat.
Unique Vintage was kind enough to send me some of their Halloween items this year and I could not be more grateful to them! All items that I’m showing off have been gifted to me by Unique Vintage but all opinions are my own.
First up is this spooktackular sandworm skirt from their Beetlejuice collection. I love the fun stripes on the waist band and the fact that this print is fun without going crazy overboard. The other plus is that it has pockets! I paired it with just a plan black t-shirt but the possibilities are endless for this item. I will say that this skirt runs very very very large. Definitely size down. There is elastic on the back of the skirt instead of a zipper and button which is more common in U.V. skirts. It was an easy to take in, but ultimately now I know to double check if the skirt has an elastic backing or not.
For my second look I paired two pieced that they sent me together, the black Loretta Top and the vintage Halloween Jayne Swing Skirt. It was love at first sight with this vintage Halloween print skirt. I love black cats and vintage Halloween art so this was definitely a need. It is cut exactly like the Beetlejuice skirt so it runs very large, please take that into consideration. The Loretta top is perfection in top form. U.V. has a bunch of different colors and this definitely won’t be my only Loretta top. It is the perfect skirt companion.
It’s friggin’ bats! Nothing can compare to my love for a great dress with bats all over it. This short sleeve Stephanie Flare Dress just makes you feel good. It fits great and while it’s a little shorter than I am normally comfortable wearing (but that’s just my personal tastes) it makes me feel like a true Halloqueen. I did take the black belt that it comes with off and paired it with a gold belt instead to just pump up the look a little bit. One of the other things I love about U.V. is the belts that come with their clothes actually fit! If you are a plus size shopper you’ll know how amazing that is. If color isn’t really your thing this dress also comes in a grey longer sleeve version (spoiler alert, I loved this dress so much I purchased the the grey one).
Finally we reach our last item, the Green Stripe Gracie Top. Just like the Loretta top the Gracie comes in a bunch of different colors and is so comfortable. I love the neckline and that it’s so easy to tuck in and pair with a skirt. I actually can’t wait to wear this out together with my Beetlejuice skirt because a girl can’t have too many stripes in her life. Do yourself a favor and buy this top!
