Brunch at Wine Bar George

Recently Peter and I had the delightful please of have brunch at Wine Bar George in Disney Springs. Wine Bar George is located in The Landing section of Disney Springs and advertises an impressive selection of wine (over 140 different varieties!) as well as a full menu.

Before I get in to the nitty gritty of this review, I want to add that this visited was not hosted by the restaurant. They were not expecting us and we paid our own way from start to finish.

We had an 11:30am reservation on a Sunday, we got there a bit early so we decided to check in at the podium but figured we were going to have to wait to be seated until closer to our time. However, we were immediately checked in and brought to our table which was super nice. Obviously this is not a guarantee that you’ll get seated early but it’s always good to check in if you are early.

We were seated in their upstairs section and had a great view overlooking Disney Springs. Once seated our server came over and lead us through the menu. We were completely indecisive over what to eat so we ordered our first round of drinks. I really wanted to try their Dole Whip Frozcato but unfortunately it has vodka in it and I can’t have vodka so I got a regular mimosa and Peter ordered one of their Rieslings.

Once we had our drinks we were ready to order. We started out getting the Crispy Mac & Cheese Bites which have come highly recommended by pretty much everyone we know. Spoiler alert: The did not disappoint!

Our entrees were just as delicious as our appetizer. I ordered the French Toast and Peter ordered the Wine Country Omelet. While neither of these were groundbreaking when it comes to innovative flavors they were both cooked to absolute perfection. Peter’s omelet was fluffy and the vegetables had an amazing flavor to them. My french toast was light but substantial and sweet but not too sweet.

All in all it was one of the best brunches I’ve had in Walt Disney World and you should trust me because I’m a brunch queen. The atmosphere was laid back and casual. We ended up enjoying it so much that we ordered round of wine once we were done with our food. If you enjoy Rosé I highly recommend getting the Rosé they have on tap (yes! they have wines on tap). Also, don’t worry if you are a wine novice, the servers are all very helpful and will guide you in the right direction.

Definitely don’t sleep on brunch here. Their brunch menu is available on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am – 3pm. You can book through Walt Disney World or through Open Table. Make sure you give me enough notice so you can take me with you!
